WRTI's Committee

Mike Overy - Chairman and webmaster
Mike chairs the Club's meetings. He also created and maintains the WRTI website which has become one of the leading sites for inventors and receives thousands of page views per month. Mike is a wireless consultant, inventor and entrepreneur, specialising in wireless positioning systems: GPS, 802.11, Bluetooth, UltraWideBand, etc. He has several mobile phone and wireless positioning patents granted/pending.

Richard Little - Vice Chairman
Richard is a director of Jenton International and C-Cubed Limited, both winners of SMART awards for innovation. Richard is inventor/co-inventor of a number of patents granted in the field of microwave energised UV systems and his inventions have been licence to Body Shop plc, Nimbus Records and several other firms in the optics field. Richard is a founder Member of WRTI and very aware of the issues that inventors face in launching ideas. He is keen to help improve the chances for inventors to commercialise their ideas.

Nicky Stanley - Secretary
Nicky has developed an innovative easy to lay garden patio system 'Pick up a Patio'. As secretary, she is responsible for WRTI's general administration.

Treasurer (to be appointed)
The Treasurer is responsible for the club accounts and handles all the payments in/out.

John Gibbs - Membership Secretary
John handles the club's membership enquiries, new memberships and renewals. He has a background in Mechanical and Civil Engineering (structural theory) and has several patents in the area of automotive testing equipment. John is a former WRTI secretary, an enthusiastic woodworker and silversmith, and is now 'working in retirement' on a variety of inventions.

Professor Richard Penson - University Liaison
Richard handles liaison with the University and their Inventors Academy. He was formerly Head of Manufacturing Engineering and more recently Associate Dean, External Development in the Faculty of Technology at Southampton Solent University. He continues to teach part-time at the University in his specialist subject of control systems and related mathematics and also with his main research topic of medical signal processing.

Ian Moore - Committee Member
Ian has many years experience in the field of inventing and has particular expertise of Intellectual Property.

Joe Silver - Committee Member
Over the years, Joe has made several inventions and is currently marketing his award winning innovative LifeLock portable door lock.
